ABOUT THE AWARD
A trophy awarded by the Office of the President to publicly recognize the outstanding effort and leadership of individuals and Organizations in the HIV&AIDS response in Uganda, towards achievement of the Presidential Fast Track Initiative. This year, the Uganda HIV&AIDS IMPACT award will cover the past two years of 2021 and 2022.
THE PRESIDENTIAL FIRST TRACK INITIATIVE
On June 6th 2017, the President of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, launched the “The Presidential Fast-Track Initiative on ending AIDS in Uganda by 2030.” This is the first such initiative in Africa and the entire world.

This award honors an exceptional individual who has demonstrated unwavering commitment and leadership in the fight against HIV&AIDS in Uganda over the past two years (2021 and 2022). This person has made a significant impact either at a national level or within their local community.
